LOOK INTO THE HISTORY
Plant
“Lom a vápenka Varín”
was established in 1925
The history of the plant Lom a vápenka Varín began in 1925. The impetus for its establishment was the growing need for high-quality limestone and lime in the production of pig iron and steel. Since then, the company has continuously developed and today ranks among the largest limeworks in Slovakia.
The beginnings were demanding – workers descended into the mine without protective equipment under extreme conditions, extracted limestone manually on steep faces, and operated the kilns by hand. Limestone was transported to the railway by a historic cableway carried on wooden supports. These modest yet heroic beginnings laid the foundations of our present-day success.
Today, DOLVAP, s. r. o. is a strong, stable and long-term manufacturer and business partner.
We build on tradition, while at the same time continuously investing in modern technologies, occupational safety and sustainability. Our goal is clear – to provide reliable and high-quality products.
We thank everyone who has contributed to our hundred-year journey. With respect for the past and responsibility towards the future, we are entering the next chapter.
